Product Engineer

SBLY is seeking a full-time member to join its Product Engineering team! We're looking to fill this role by December 2020 with a flexible start date in January 2021. This will be the first time the product engineering team will be hiring a non-senior position and we're excited about the possibility of working with someone that's looking to learn, grow, and make an impact with their work.

What does a Product Engineer do at SBLY?

One thing that's unique here at SBLY is that we don't have any Product Managers. We put a strong emphasis on product engineers that they are as equally invested in both the implementation and business impact of a engineering task. As a product engineer, you'll work directly with one of our product engineering leads who will provide context about business problems that need to be solved. After that, they'll make sure you have the required technical knowledge before providing you as much autonomy as possible for you to create an engineering solution to the business problem.

Compensation and benefits:

Our salary for the Product Engineer position is $120,000 and we will be offering 0.05% of equity.

We allow a flexible work schedule as long as you have a couple hours of overlap between your teammates. About the interview process

We'll be reviewing all applications submitted until November 13th. Due to the amount of applications we typically receive, we unfortunately will not be able to respond to everyone.

The interview will consist of an intro call with a cofounder, a coding phone screen, a homework question, several Zoom interviews with members of our product engineering team, and a final culture interview call with our other cofounder.

We're looking to make an offer in December 2020 for a flexible start date in January 2021.
